Diving in the coral bay of the Red Sea in Eilat is one of the main outdoor activities for experienced tourists. Those in the know say the Red Sea is one of the most beautiful underwater places in the world, with a favorable weather for all-year-round diving. Its clear waters, the temperature of which practically does not drop below 20 degrees even in winter, create excellent conditions for more than 400 species of fish and about 150 species of corals. The corals grow very close to the shore and can be seen even when snorkeling.
Diving is another world on the other side of the water surface, always beautiful in any weather, at any time of the year or day. The coral reefs of the Red Sea are famous for their vibrant, diverse wildlife. The colorful soft and hard corals shelter various invertebrates: crabs and shrimps, sea urchins, nudibranchs, starfish, octopuses. At the bottom, there are tridacnas with bright mantles of different colors: emerald green, blue, purple. It is home to a variety of tropical fish: butterfly fish, surgeonfish, pennant coralfish, angelfish, clownfish, triggerfish and parrotfish.
Huge Napoleon wrasses and groupers slowly swim in the water, moray eels hide among the stones. At the sheer walls of the reefs there are pelagic fish β sharks, barracudas, trevally. You can also see dolphins and sea turtles in the Red Sea. If you have ever seen how multi-colored butterflies frolic in corals, how the shadow of a giant stingray glides along the bottom, how a moray eel peeps out of a crevice, how a cabin of a sunken ship sticks out over a reef β this world will not let you go. You will return to it again and again to experience the feeling of soaring and flying, the joy of discovery, the feeling of complete peace and happiness.
